DIY: Storage Boxes

Everybody has their crap. In this case, quite literally. I am the first to admit that I’m somewhat of a hoarder and I have a lot of stuff that I probably don’t need anymore. The solution: make beautiful boxes!

These boxes are so pretty that you can just throw all your junk in and not worry about it. Plus, its a unified and cheap way to take up space on bookshelves if you’ve got them. I’ve personally followed this DIY post from First Home Love Life to create these adorable Kate Spade-inspired boxes.

Another great tutorial is this one from AO Life to create delicate gilded boxes that will go with any decor. The best part – creating these storage boxes is cheap! My favorite are the Kassett boxes from IKEA that range in size and price from $5-10 for a set of two. Add in paint and other supplies and you’re looking at $3-6 per box and a beautiful solution to your clutter. Get going!

  1. The Kate spade dupe has been a favorite of mine for awhile. But do you gave any ideas for making the box itself, or is buying it really the only reasonable solution?
